The Castle of Corneilla

HISTORY

The Jonquères d’Oriola family has been established in Corneilla del Vercol since 1485. The men of this old Catalan family are passionate about producing Roussillon wines and have handed down the Château de Corneilla and its vineyards from father to son since the 5th century. William Jonquères d’Oriola, who represents the 27th generation, took over the property after ten years of transmission with his father Philippe.

WINES

We cultivate 95 hectares of vines spread across different properties between the south of Perpignan and Collioure in the Roussillon.

The respect for the environment, for bio-diversity and the regularisation of the ecosystems are at the heart of our work. In addition our choice to use several meteorological stations permits us to take the best decisions for the most favoured direction of the vineyard.

All of our vines are cultivated by reasoned and regenerative agriculture labelled HVE3 (High Environmental Value). These different plots are
selected with rigour, with the aim of being one of the most representative vineyards of the southern Roussillon.

Furthermore, Château de Corneilla has been honored with many awards for its vintage wines, as proudly showcased on this website.
